TurnKey Evaporators are uniquely engineered to prevent water droplets from being entrained into the flue pipe. The following design features result in minimal droplet production and entrainment prevention:
1. TurnKey has the largest heat transfer surface area in the industry. When this is combined with our digital temperature controls, we can achieve the flattest boil possible. Many of our competitors use heating tubes, localized button heat or induced combustion gas which causes violent localized boiling that creates mist.
2. TurnKey has a superior amount of freeboard above the boiling liquid. This allows any of the larger droplets that are formed to drop back into the liquid.
3. TurnKeys exhaust blower has the proper 590 CFM to provide a low flue pipe velocity, which prevents droplet entrainment.
4. A cross flow hot air curtain is used to knock down any remaining droplets.
5. TurnKey Evaporators TKE-G40 and larger come equipped with a tray that can hold an
optional de-mister pad for the rare case when it is required.
6. Foam Control:
In the model 30, the flat boil, temperature control and auto purge all help reduce foam.
In the models 40 and larger, there are also spray nozzles that knock down foam.
Should foam build into the optional demister pad, the induction fan will shut down due to the fans amperage sensor.
